Mounting

  1. Hold the mount on the board with each socket over a SKÅDIS slot.
  2. Push a Twist Key, wings vertical, through the socket and the slot behind it.
  3. Turn it a quarter turn counter-clockwise until it stops. The bar locks behind the board and the shoulder wedges the mount tight.
  4. Turn it back to take the mount off. No tools, no glue.
03 / Print notes
  1. Print at 100 % in millimetres with X-Y hole and contour compensation at 0. Every part is already in print orientation: no supports.
  2. PLA is what we print and photograph. PETG and PCTG should work but are not tested by us (see the Material Guide).
  3. Print one Twist Key first (11 minutes) and try it on your board before the big parts.
  4. Turn on elephant-foot compensation: a flared first layer is the usual reason a key or device feels tight.
  5. Print the Hub Fit Coupon (35 min) and slide your hub in before printing the dock.
  6. Stow the RC-N1 sticks before docking the controller.
04 / Honest status

What we verified.

Verified = shown by our own prints and photos, October 2026. Everything else is calculated from CAD and published sizes.

Verified with our prints

  • All three mounts printed in PLA from these files and used on our own SKÅDIS board: the folded Air 2S on the sled, the 3-battery hub with 3 batteries in the dock, the RC-N1 in its cradle (photos).
  • Twist Key: printed in PLA and used on our own SKÅDIS board; it locks in snugly with a quarter turn.

Calculated / not yet printed

  • Charging the batteries while docked (cable through the floor slot): designed for it, not checked by us.
  • Load, drop and long-term creep tests: not done.

Is this a physical item?

No. It is a digital download: one ZIP with the print files and guides. Nothing is shipped. You need a 3D printer (or a print service).

Which printers does it work with?

Any FDM printer that prints PLA. The 3MF plates are set up for a Bambu Lab A1 with a 0.4 mm nozzle; on another printer use the STLs with the settings in the guide.

Do I need screws or tools?

No. Each mount hangs on IKEA SKÅDIS with our printed Twist Keys: push through, quarter turn, done.

Can I sell prints or share the files?

No: the licence is personal, non-commercial use. Please link people to this page instead. A printed version is in our Etsy shop.

What if a fit is off on my printer?

Email help@harbeworks.com with your printer, filament and a photo. The guide has a troubleshooting table, and fit tests are included where a device needs one.

Does it fit other drones?

It is sized for the Air 2S, its flat 3-battery hub and the RC-N1. Other drones and the DJI RC were not designed for or checked.
