Your first print, explained.
From downloading the ZIP to checking your first cutter and stamp. The practical starting points.
Start with one pair
Choose one cutter and its matching stamp before printing a whole collection. You’ll need an FDM printer, filament and a slicer. Our reference digital checks used Bambu A1 settings; no physical printer test or universal compatibility is claimed.
Open the right files
Extract your ZIP and read START_HERE.txt. File names identify the collection, role and size. Bring the STL into your slicer as millimetres at 100% scale. STL files do not embed a unit. Use the included sizes: scaling also changes the wall and texture thickness.
A useful starting profile
- Material: PLA for indoor, room-temperature craft use.
- Nozzle: 0.4 mm.
- Layer height: 0.16 mm, with settings suited to your printer.
- Cutter orientation: flat grip down, cutting edge facing up.
- Stamp orientation: flat backing down, raised texture facing up.
The exact reference settings for your release are in its included guide. PETG may be an alternative, but assess stringing and working-edge detail. These are starting recommendations, not tested guarantees.
Look through the slice
Check the first layers, the wall transition, the top cutting edge and the raised stamp lines. The cutter should stay hollow inside. Resolve unexpected filled cavities, missing edges or floating features before printing.
Assess the real result
Let your tools cool before removal. Inspect the working edges and use a small clay sample to assess how the tool behaves in your workflow. Harbe Works has checked these files digitally; the tools have not been physically test-printed. Cutting, clay release, durability and finished results remain unverified.
These are craft tools. No food-contact, dishwasher, oven or high-temperature use is claimed.
